My Mission

Next Generation is born out of a passion to provide the highest quality women's imaging service. We know your time is precious and you want to make the very best choice for your healthcare and that of your baby. We provide the most technologically advanced ob/gyn imaging as well as pregnancy expertise every step of the way, in a calm, beautiful and peaceful environment. We sincerely hope to make each pregnancy a little less stressful and a lot more fun through education, screening, surveillance, and expert reassurance. My pregnancies were all high risk – complicated by hypertension and diabetes requiring insulin treatment. I have been there and now I devote my life to helping you make it through your pregnancy with the healthiest outcome possible. The mission behind Next Generation is to provide the most advanced women's imaging and maternal-fetal medicine services lead by experience, knowledge,

personal attention, empathy, and understanding.

Background

Dr. Minior earned a bachelor of arts degree from Smith College. She did research on human placental pathology with the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) before earning her doctor of medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at New York University. She was awarded the prestigious American College of OB/GYN Ortho-McNeil Scholarship while at NYU for her research on the effects of hypoxia on nucleated red blood cells in the fetus. She has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of OB/GYN at NYU and has extensively participated in residency education at Lenox Hill Hospital supervising the high-risk obstetrical clinic for many years. She has lectured on a multitude of topics from the management of diabetes or rheumatologic disease in pregnancy, infectious diseases affecting pregnancy, and management of multiple gestations as well as resident education on basic and advanced ultrasound techniques.  You can see Dr. Minior at work in the Netflix documentary Lenox Hill.

Dr. Minior offers advanced expertise in the area of treatment for diabetes in pregnancy. She has extensive experience relating to the education, management, and treatment of diabetes in pregnancy.

On a personal note, Dr. Minior lives with her husband David, 3 children, labradoodle and pug in Stamford, CT. When she is not at work she loves to grow vegetables and flowers in her garden, bicycle, cook, knit blankets, go to the beach, read and travel. Her favorite books include Gone with the Wind, Harry Potter and Dr. Grieger’s How Not to Die.
